For Children Interested in Applying to Kindergarten G&T Programs in Fall 2026

Kindergarten offers are now available for families who submitted an application before the January 23rd deadline. All children born in 2021 are eligible to apply. Families who did not already apply to G&T programs before the January 23rd deadline and who were not already screened for eligibility,  cannot be considered for G&T programs by adding  themselves to the waitlist. 

For Children Interested in Applying to Kindergarten G&T Programs in Fall 2027

Here are some key dates:

• Wednesday, December 9, 2026: Kindergarten Application Opens
• Friday, January 22, 2027: Kindergarten Application Closes
• Tuesday, March 30, 2027: Kindergarten Offer Release 

For Children Interested in Applying to Grades 1, 2, 3, or 4 G&T Programs in Fall 2026

Results are now available for families who submitted the application before the May 8th deadline. View your results using Myschools.nyc. Waitlist are also available for eligible families. If you are eligible you will be able to add yourself to additional G&T waitlist. 

Families of students attending private, charter, or home school who missed the deadline may email ESEnrollment@schools.nyc.gov with their child's report card grades by September 11th if they are interested in being added to the waitlist of grade 1-4 G&T programs. The report card will be reviewed and evaluated using the 2nd marking period (or equivalent) grades and if eligible, the family may add their child to waitlist of programs of interest. 

For Children Interested in Applying to Grades 1, 2, 3, or 4 G&T Programs in Fall 2027

Here are some key dates:

• Monday, April 19, 2027: G&T Upper Grade Application Opens
• Friday, May 7, 2027: G&T Upper Grade Application Closes
• Thursday, June 10, 2027: G&T Upper Grade Offer Release
